I provide therapy for folks who are looking for active change in their lives. Whether you are looking to develop coping skills for managing symptoms, understand behavioural patterns, or improve your overall sense of well-being, I work alongside you in support of your mental health goals. I focus on the strengths of my clients to help build self-esteem, resilience, and increase a sense of connection to the self.  At times, symptoms may present themselves in how we automatically respond to situations or may impact how we experience the world around us.

We may find ourselves reacting to situations in ways we feel do not represent our true nature.  This may leave us feeling out of control in our own lives. These reactions may stem from symptoms of anxiety, depression, or instances of trauma. I help empower my clients by teaching them how their nervous systems can regulate thoughts and emotions, while processing difficult events in a kind, confidential, and compassionate manner. At times, we can feel stuck in our experiences or that we are not living up to our fullest potential. Creating realistic goals established by you on your own unique journey, is at the forefront of therapy.

I believe we all have the innate ability to heal from our emotional and psychological experiences. Therapy is a tool that can help to serve as a gentle guide along your healing journey. Reaching out for support requires strength and insight, and is an act of self-compassion deserved by all. We have no say in when or how an event may impact us, but we do have a say in choosing to work towards a life of hope, acceptance, and self-love.

I use a variety of modalities, including EMDR, CBT, DBT, CPT, Parts Work, Mindfulness-based and Somatic-based approaches that work to integrate the mind, body, and emotions towards a place of balance and harmony.  I support individuals who have experienced a range of traumas, and I strive to create a sense of safety and trust to help people move towards a more positive sense of self.

As a Registered Social Worker, my areas of focus include:

Trauma | Abuse/Neglect/Assault | Anxiety & Depression | Attachment | Addictions/Substance Abuse | Panic/Phobias

If you’re ready to get started, I offer a 20-min consultation to see if we are a good fit. I’d love to support you in getting the help you need to live better.
